This protection prevents someone who picks up the phone from reading the last viewed email without opening the app. The protection is enabled by default in all organizations and is managed by DBLinx.

What protection does

Screenshot
Screenshots are blocked while the app is open.
Recent apps preview
SmartMail's content is hidden in the phone's app switcher screen.
Who manages it
Protection is managed separately by DBLinx for each mobile app and applied the same way across all organizations. An organization administrator does not need to change any settings.

Making sure protection is working

  1. Request users to upgrade the SmartMail mobile application to the latest version.

  2. Close and reopen the app; the setting is read every time the app starts.

TipProtection requires the current version of the app. A change in settings takes effect the next time the user opens the app. For your organization's needs on this matter, you can write from the Support section in the DBLinx dashboard.
