Undo send

After you press Send, the email is not sent immediately; it waits at the bottom of the screen with an Undo button for the duration you selected (10 seconds by default). If you undo, the email returns to the send preview with the same content.

How to undo a send?

After you press Send, the email is not sent immediately; for the duration you select (10 seconds by default), it waits at the bottom of the screen with an Undo button. Who can do this: Any user who can send email. When the time is up, the email is sent. If you undo, the email returns to the send preview with the same content. If you try to close the tab while it is waiting, the browser warns you; if you leave the page, the pending email is not sent.

Steps

  1. Write the mail and open the send preview.

  2. From Undo period, select the waiting time: Off, 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds. Your choice is remembered in this browser.

  3. Press Send. A banner appears at the bottom: "Email will be sent in N seconds".

  4. If you change your mind, press Undo before time runs out 1.

  5. If you want to send without waiting, press Send now in the same banner 2; the email is sent immediately, before the countdown ends.

Result The mail is sent when the time is up. If you undo it, the mail is not sent at all and the preview opens with the same content.
CautionIf you try to close the tab while waiting, the browser warns you; if you leave the page, the pending email is not sent.
