Saving and deleting a draft

  1. What you write on the compose screen is saved automatically every few seconds.

  2. When closing the compose screen, you are asked Save draft?: Save as draft, Delete draft or Continue writing.

  3. To delete from the list, tap the trash icon next to the draft or press and hold the draft 3, then confirm.

Shared draft conflict warning

  1. A draft with the On server badge can be opened separately by multiple people in a shared mailbox; each person gets their own editable copy. In this case, a warning banner appears in the compose screen.

  2. Yellow banner: another user is currently editing the same draft. If you both send, the email may go twice.

  3. Reddish banner: the source of this draft on the server has already been sent or deleted by someone else. If you send it anyway, the email will have been sent twice; this banner also appears LIVE if the source is sent/deleted while you are writing.

Result When the email is sent, sent for approval or scheduled, the draft is deleted automatically.
Note Drafts with the On server badge come from your mail server; for example, drafts you started in your desktop email program. When you open one, an editable copy is created; if you delete it, the draft on the server is moved to the bin.
Tip If a draft cannot be saved while there is no connection, a warning appears in the compose screen; keep writing, and it will be retried when the connection returns.
