What is 'While the app is updating'?

The new version downloads in the background while you use the app; when it is ready, you restart from the banner at the bottom. Who can do this: Any user signed in to the app. When you restart, the open screen closes. Open the app and continue using it; if there is a new version, it downloads in the background and does not keep you waiting.

Switch to the new version

  1. Open the app and continue using it; if there is a new version, it downloads in the background and does not keep you waiting.

  2. When the download finishes, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen saying The app has been updated. Restart for the new version. 1.

  3. To switch now, tap Restart 2. After a brief Updating… screen, the app opens with the new version.

  4. If you close the banner, the new version will be applied automatically the next time you open the application.
