If "SmartMail is currently under maintenance." appears at the top of the dashboard, planned maintenance is being carried out on the system. Your emails are safe; when maintenance ends, the dashboard resumes where it left off.

If "SmartMail is currently under maintenance." appears at the top of the dashboard, planned maintenance is being carried out on the system. Who can do this: All users. Your emails are safe; when maintenance ends, the dashboard resumes where it left off. Emails received during maintenance wait on the mail server and arrive in the dashboard when maintenance ends. Read the banner; if the maintenance end time is known, it is written on the banner.
What to do
Read the banner; if the maintenance end time is known, it is stated on the banner.
You do not need to close the dashboard. SmartMail retries the connection every minute.
When maintenance ends, the banner disappears automatically; try sending an unfinished email again.
