How to pin an important email

Pin an email you need to return to often; pinned emails appear in a separate section at the top of the folder, mailbox and filter you have open, so you do not need to scroll down the list. Who can do this: A user with write permission on the mailbox. The Pinned section shows the same scope as the folder/mailbox/label/unread filter currently open - when you switch to another folder, the section lists that folder's pinned emails.

Steps

  1. Hover over a row in the email list; a pin icon appears to the right of the time 2. Click the icon.

  2. The email moves to the Pinned section at the top of the folder 1. Clicking the section heading expands or collapses it.

  3. To remove it, click the same icon again; the icon now appears filled (purple) and remains visible at all times while pinned, and on unpinned rows it appears only when you hover over them.

Result The Pinned section shows the same scope as the folder/mailbox/label/unread filter currently open - when you switch to another folder, the section lists the pinned mails of that folder. Pinning applies to the entire mailbox; everyone who shares the mailbox sees the same pinned mail.
InfoIn search results and non-folder views such as "Pending duration"/"Work tracking", the Pinned section is not shown - because these views are already listed by identity, pinning scope is not meaningful.
