New mail arrives on your phone as a sound and a notification shown at the top of the screen from the "New mail" channel. Who can do this: Any user signed in to the app. Notifications received while the app is open also play a sound. On first sign-in, the app asks for notification permission; allow it. To grant permission later, open your phone's Settings > Apps > SmartMail > Notifications section and turn on notifications.

To allow

  1. On first login, the app asks for notification permission; allow it.

  2. To grant permission later, open Settings > Apps > SmartMail > Notifications on your phone and turn on notifications 1.

Adjusting sound and appearance

  1. On the same screen, tap the New emails channel 2.

  2. Change the settings for sound 3, vibration and appearing at the top of the screen 4 as you wish.
