What is secure sending in the mobile app?

You send a sensitive email via a password-protected link without the content and attachments being included in the email. Who can do this: a user with write permission on the mailbox. The recipient receives a notification email containing only the link; the message content and attachments are opened from the link with a password. You can retract the message you sent at any time.

Sending

  1. Write the email and tap Preview and Send.

  2. In the preview, tap Send securely 1.

  3. Select the Validity period 2: 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days.

  4. Tap Send with password-protected link 3.

Sharing password

  1. After sending, the password and link are shown once 4.

  2. Copy the password with Share or by pressing and holding it 5, and pass it on to the recipient by phone or another channel.

  3. When you tap OK, the screen closes 6.

Viewing and recalling sent items

  1. Tap your initials in the top right and select Safe senders.

  2. Each message shows its status, how many times it was opened and its expiry time 7.

  3. Recall an open message with Recall 8; the recipient can no longer open it.

Result The recipient receives a notification email containing only a link; the message content and attachments are opened from the link with a password.
Note The password is shown only immediately after sending. Do not send the password in the email.
Attention A scheduled email or an email sent for approval cannot be sent securely.
