Bounce address warning

If an email sent to an address you enter in To, Cc or Bcc has bounced in the last 90 days, a yellow warning appears in the compose window 1: how many times, when it last happened and the reason, if any. It does not block sending.

  • Every user who writes emails (only the history of mailboxes they can see)

What is a bounce address warning?

If mail sent to an address you enter in the To, Cc or Bcc field in the last 90 days has bounced, a yellow warning appears on the compose screen 1: how many times, most recently when, and the reason if any. Who can do this: Every user who writes mail (history of only the mailboxes they can see).

How it works

  • The source is undeliverable mail notifications and outgoing mails that could not be delivered.
  • Only the history of mailboxes you can see is searched; correspondence from another mailbox is not visible this way.
  • The warning appears shortly after you enter the recipients.

TipIs it an address typo, or has the person left? The reason in the warning usually gives the answer. If the address has been corrected, you can still send.
