In SmartFiles, each user only sees the areas they have been granted permission for; buttons also appear based on permissions in that area. The 'Your permissions in this area' section in the detail panel of a selected item shows which permissions are active. Details: authorisation.

A storage area or file is not visible: what should be done?
In SmartFiles, each user only sees the areas they have been granted permission for; buttons also appear based on permissions in that area. Who can apply: User; Administrator. When permission is granted, the area and buttons become visible. The 'Your permissions in this area' section in the detail panel of a selected item shows which permissions are active. Click on a file and read the 'Your permissions in this area' section in the detail panel.
Steps
Click a file and read the Your permissions in this area section in the detail panel.
Request the missing permission from your administrator.
If you are an administrator, check the person's row in Settings → Storage Areas.
