How to extract tasks from Word, PDF, or Excel documents?
Drag and drop a document such as a quote, specification, survey report, or work list; the AI drafts the work inside as phased, timed, interconnected cards with colored labels. Who can do this: Project manager; Project member. Phases become top-level cards and take their color as the cover; tasks become sub-cards.
Steps
To add to an open board, click From Document in the project title; for a new project, go to New Project › Plan from Document in the left menu. Dropping the document into the assistant panel on the right opens the same window.
Drag and drop the document into the area in the center of the window, or click to select it 1. Optionally, add a note (e.g., “Must be completed by mid-November”).
Click Convert to Tasks 2. The document uploads, is read, and a draft plan appears within a few seconds.

Correcting and saving the draft
At the top, labels extracted from the document appear with their colors 3. Main stages are shown with colored bands, with tasks indented underneath 4.
On each row, change the title, label, priority and the duration in working days 5; delete unneeded rows with the trash icon. The “Before” column shows which tasks must finish first; ◆ is a milestone.
Read the Ambiguities in Document note at the bottom; here the AI writes its assumptions.
Correct the name and color in the new project and click Create Project; if on an open board, optionally select a start date and click Add to Board.
