Suggesting subtasks with AI

To break down a large task, you receive suggestions from AI. Suggestions are prepared based on the task title and description; you select the ones you want and add them as subtasks with a single click.

How to suggest subtasks using AI?

You receive AI suggestions to break down a large task into smaller parts. Who can do this: Project Manager; Project Member. Selected suggestions are added as subtasks. Suggestions are generated by AI based on the task’s title and description; select the ones you want and add them as subtasks with a single click. Check suggestions before adding them.

Steps

  1. Open the task panel. The more detailed the description, the more accurate the suggestions.

  2. In the Subtasks section, click Suggest with AI.

  3. Review the suggested subtasks and their estimated durations; deselect any you do not want 1.

  4. If subtasks need to be done sequentially, keep Link Sequentially enabled, then click Add Selected.

Result The selected suggestions are added as subtasks. If the parent task has a start date, subtasks are assigned dates based on their durations; if Link Sequentially is enabled, each links to the end of the previous one.
Tip Suggestions are generated by AI; check them before adding. Subtasks already present in the task will not be suggested again. AI usage deducts from your organization's monthly DBLinx allowance.
