How to change dates by dragging in Gantt?

Dragging a task bar on the Gantt tab moves the task along with its duration; pulling from the right edge extends or shortens it. Who can do this: Project manager; Project member. On release, the new date is saved. Tasks without dates do not appear on the chart but are listed below it.

Steps

  1. Open the project's Gantt tab.

  2. To move, hold the middle of the bar and drag left or right 1.

  3. To change the duration, hold the right edge of the bar and drag.

  4. When Move dependents together is on, tasks dependent on the dragged task and its subtasks shift by the same number of working days 3; you see them moving as you drag. When released, they return together. When off, only necessary successors are pushed forward.
