Audit log: who changed what and when?

The audit log consolidates changes made in projects into a single list by person, project, and time: opening cards, moving them, date and priority changes, assignments, checklists, custom fields, lists and labels, member and role changes, files, budget and expenses, reversals, and project deletion.

Reading the log

  1. Click Audit Log in the left menu. For a single project's log, you can also use the Open Log button in the Audit Log section of the project's Settings tab.

  2. Select project, person, change type, and date range using the filters above 1. The search box searches within card names, person names, and change details.

  3. Records are grouped by day, with the newest at the top 2. Each row shows the time, the person who made the change, the action, the project, and the change details; for example, "SEO and speed check": To Do → In Review. If an action involves many changes, the first three rows are visible, and the … more changes link reveals the rest.

  4. Clicking a project name opens the project; in a record concerning a single card, that card opens. The Older records button at the end of the list retrieves the previous 50 records.

  1. 1Project, person, type, date, and search
  2. 2By day, newest at the top
Result You can find why a card was moved, who changed the budget, or when a person was removed from a project without searching. Download CSV provides a file that opens in Excel with the filtered records; each detail is on a separate row.
Tip A reverted change is not deleted: the record shows the original change first, followed by a second row of type Reversal. Changes made by the AI assistant are written under the name of the person who used the assistant.
Note Records are retained for 400 days. Records of deleted projects remain; only Company Administrators can access them. Comments, time logs, and notification settings do not appear in the audit log; comments appear in the card's own history.
