What are MTA-STS and optional records?

Alongside the required mail records, the DBLinx System Health screen also shows optional records: MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, and records that let mail clients find their settings automatically. Who can do this: the organization's tenant administrators; the DNS owner. Once the records are verified, the MTA-STS policy activates and mail to your domain is carried over an encrypted connection.

Steps

  1. In the record list, (optional) find the records marked with this label.

  3. Add the TLS-RPT record; issues with encrypted delivery are reported.

  4. "Query DNS" check the records.
