# Project status update

Communicate the project’s progress to the team and, optionally, to the customer at a glance: mark the status as On Track, At Risk, or Delayed, and write a short note. The draft can be generated by AI from the project data. Updates are stored in the Project Status tab along with history.

- Write update: project manager

- Read: everyone in the project; customer: only what is shared with them

## Writing an update

- Open the Status tab in the project.

- Instead of writing manually, you can click Draft with AI: artificial intelligence reviews completions from the last week, overdue and upcoming tasks, recent comments, and the previous update to suggest a status and itemised notes.

- Select the status: On Track, At Risk, or Delayed. Write or edit the note; you can use bullet points (-) and **bold** text.

- If the project has a customer and you want them to see the update, check Share with Customer. Then click Share.

> Result Everyone in the project receives a notification (depending on email preferences). The latest status appears as a coloured badge on the project title and in the dashboard card on Dashboards page; clicking the badge opens the Status tab.

## Reading the history

Updates are listed with the newest first. Each entry shows status, author, time, and whether it was shared with the customer. The author can delete their own update, and the project administrator can delete all updates using the trash bin icon.

> Tip Writing one update per week ensures the team and customer stay aligned. If the last update is older than a week, the Status tab reminds you.

> Note The AI draft is not saved automatically; review and edit it before sharing. Using the AI draft consumes your AI usage allowance.
