# Working with the team simultaneously

When a team member adds a task, moves a card, changes a date, or writes a comment, this change appears on your screen without refreshing the page.

## Steps

- Open the project in list, Kanban, Gantt, or calendar view. Your colleague's changes appear on your screen within a few seconds 1.

- Information and comments in the open task panel also update automatically. The panel does not refresh while you edit a field; it updates when you leave the field.

- When a task is assigned to you or you are mentioned, the number on the bell increases immediately 2.

> Result: Everyone sees the same current plan; you do not need to refresh the page.

> Tip: If your connection drops briefly, SmartPM reconnects and fetches missed changes automatically. Users with the customer role only see changes in tasks open to them.
