# Recurring tasks

For regular jobs such as weekly reports, monthly invoice checks, or daily backups, set the card to repeat. Once completed, a copy for the next date is automatically created.

## Steps

- Open the card. In the Recurrence row of the card window, click the button showing 'Does not repeat'.

- Select frequency: Daily, Weekdays, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly 1. Enter how many units between each repeat in each box; for example, every 2 weeks.

- You can select specific days for weekly recurrence (e.g., Monday and Thursday). If no day is selected, the same day as the card's end date is used each week.

- If there is an end date for the recurrence, fill in End date and then click Save.

> The result card appears on the dashboard with a recurrence icon. When you move the card to the completed list or check the box next to the end date, a new card opens with the same title, description, priority, members, labels, and unchecked checklist. The new card's dates are advanced according to the rule, preserving the duration between start and end. The recurrence rule transfers to the new card; the completed card remains as is.

> Tip: The next date is calculated from the card's end date; if there is no end date, from the start date; if neither exists, from today. The Weekdays option uses the project's working days. On days that don't exist in some months (e.g., the 31st), the last day of the month is used. If the card's list is not completed, the new card opens in the same list; otherwise, it opens in the first incomplete list. Subtasks are not copied. To stop recurrence, click Remove recurrence.
