# Task templates

Prepare a recurring job (such as new customer setup or pre-release testing) once as a card and save it as a template; then reopen it with a single click, including sub-cards and checklists.

- Saving and using templates: project administrator and members

- Deleting templates: the person who saved it; project templates by the project administrator, all-project templates by the organization administrator

## Saving a template

- Open the card you want to convert to a template. In the Actions section on the right, click Save as template.

- Give the template a name 1. If it will be used in other projects, tick Use in all projects 2 and click Save.

The card's description, priority, estimated duration, labels, persons, checklists (unchecked), sub-tasks, and duration in working days are saved. Comments, files, and the card's history are not saved.

## Opening a card from a template

- In Kanban, click the icon next to Add card under the list where the card will open 1. In table view, use the From template button at the top; the card is added to the first open list.

- Select the template from the list 2. The card opens with its sub-tasks and the card window is displayed.

> Result If the template has duration, the card starts from today (or the next working day) and takes the same working day duration. Tags match by name; if no tag with that name exists in the project, it is created with the same colour. Only persons who can take tasks in this project are assigned and receive notifications. The project's automation rules run for the new card.

> Tip You can view and delete the list of templates in the Task templates section in the Settings tab. A template can contain up to 100 cards (including sub-tasks). For regular repeating single tasks, a recurring task is more appropriate.
