# Email display is broken or images are not loading

SmartMail opens emails in a secure viewer: scripts in the email do not run and remote images loaded from the internet are not shown until you allow them. Remote images can notify the sender that the email has been read, so this protection is on by default.

SmartMail opens emails in a secure viewer: scripts in the email do not run and remote images loaded from the internet are not shown until you allow them. Who can use this: All users. Remote images can notify the sender that the email has been read, so this protection is on by default. Do not open remote images from senders you do not know; the sender may be notified that the email has been read.

## What to do

If it says "Remote images in this email were blocked…" at the top of the email and you recognize the sender, click **Show images**.

If the email arrived as plain text only or says "No text content was found for this email.", the format used by the program that sent the email could not be read; check the attachments and the AI summary.

If the view doesn't fit properly, close the helper panel and widen the reading area.

**Note** Do not enable remote images from senders you do not know; the sender may be notified that the email was read.
