# I can't see a mailbox

Only mailboxes assigned to you and for which you have view permission appear in the dashboard. If you cannot see a mailbox, the mailbox may not be assigned to you, your view permission may be turned off, or the mailbox may be disabled.

## I can't see a mailbox: what should be done?

Only mailboxes assigned to you and for which you have view permission appear in the dashboard. Who can do this: User; Administrator. If you cannot see a mailbox, the mailbox may not be assigned to you, your view permission may be turned off, or the mailbox may be disabled. If you see the notification "Your access to this mailbox has been removed" while working, the administrator has changed your assignment; the dashboard switches you to another mailbox you can access.

## What to do

Open the **Active mailbox** selector in the top bar and check whether the mailbox is in the list; selecting **All mailboxes** shows every mailbox you can access.

If the mailbox is not in the list, ask your administrator to assign it to you or your department.

If you are an administrator, check the person's card in the **Assignments** screen and the **View** permission in the **Permissions** table; in **Email accounts**, verify that the mailbox is **Active**.

**Tip**If you see the notification "Your access to this mailbox has been removed" while working, the administrator has changed your assignment; the dashboard switches you to another mailbox you can access. Access that a person who leaves the department received through that department is also removed automatically.
