# The recipient field appears empty or the address is red

Every address you type in the recipient field becomes a separate chip. If the chip is red, the address is not a valid email address; if the domain appears to be misspelled, SmartMail suggests the correct one.

- User with write permission in the mailbox

## The recipient field appears empty or the address is red: what should be done?

Every address you type in the recipient field becomes a separate chip. Who can use it: a user with permission to write in the box. If the chip is red, the address is not a valid email address; if the domain appears to be misspelled, SmartMail suggests the correct one. People in your organization appear in the chip with a TEAM label. After typing the address, press Enter or click outside the field; the text you typed becomes a recipient chip.

## What to do

After entering the address, press Enter or click outside the field; the text you entered becomes a recipient chip.

If the box is red, check the warning icon on it and correct the address; you can remove the box and type it again.

If "Did you mean …?" appears next to the box, click the suggestion; the domain will be corrected.

If suggestions never open, first select the **Sender** box; people suggestions appear once a sender is selected.

**Tip**People in your organization appear in the box with the **TEAM** label. Use **Browse people** to select people from the list.
