# Composing a new email

You select which mailbox to send from, add recipients from suggestions, format the text and preview and send the email.

- User with write permission in the mailbox

## How do you compose a new email?

You select which mailbox to send from, add recipients from suggestions, format the text and preview and send the email. Who can do this: a user with write permission on the mailbox. The send preview opens; the email is shown as the recipient will see it, together with your signature. An invalid address appears in red and sending is not allowed; sometimes a correction suggestion appears, tap it to correct.

## Steps

Tap the pencil icon in the inbox top bar. The **New email** screen opens.

If you have more than one mailbox, select which address to send from on the **From** row 1.

Start typing in the **To** field; people you correspond with are suggested 2. Tap a suggestion to add it. For Cc and Bcc, tap **Cc Bcc**.

Fill in the **Subject** field 3 and enter the text 4. Use the **Bold**, **Italic**, **Underline**, **Add link** and **Clear formatting** buttons for formatting.

Tap **Preview and Send** 5.

**Result** The send preview opens; the email is shown as the recipient will see it, including your signature.
