# Summarizing the conversation

With one tap, AI summarizes a multi-email thread, including action items, dates, and questions awaiting a reply.

- Any user who has signed in to the app

## How do you summarize the conversation?

You get a short summary of a conversation consisting of multiple mails, the resulting tasks, the dates mentioned and the questions awaiting a reply from AI with a single tap. Who can do this: Any user signed in to the app. If no new mail has arrived in the conversation, when you request the same summary again, the ready summary appears immediately.

## Get summary

Open an email in the thread. If the thread contains more than one email, the **Summarize thread** button appears.

Tap the button. The summary opens on the card in a few seconds; the header shows the number of emails in the thread 1.

The card has summary items and sections for **To-dos** 2, **Dates** and **Questions awaiting a reply**.

If a new email has arrived in the conversation, regenerate the summary with **Refresh** 3.

The note at the bottom of the card 4 reminds you that the summary comes from AI; for important decisions, check the emails themselves.
