If an attachment preview does not open, you can download the attachment and open it with another application on your phone.

## What does 'Attachment cannot be opened' mean?

If an attachment preview does not open, you can download the attachment and open it with another application on your phone. Who can do this: Every user logged into the application. If this file type cannot be preview, it will say This file type cannot be preview. When the preview does not open, it will say Preview could not be opened and provide a reason; for example, Document could not be opened. Tap Download and open the attachment in the appropriate application on your phone.

## What you see and what to do

When the preview does not open, **Preview could not be opened** and the reason are shown 1; for example, **The document could not be opened.**

Tap **Download** 2 and open the attachment in a suitable app on your phone.

**Caution** If this file type cannot be previewed, it says **This file type cannot be previewed**. For password-protected PDFs, you are asked to enter the document's own password.
