# Focused inbox in the mobile app

The mobile app shows the inbox as Focused and All; newsletters and automated mails remain outside Focused, and notifications arrive only for Focused mails.

- Any user who has signed in to the app (write permission in the mailbox for the sender rule)

## What is the focused inbox in the mobile app?

The mobile app shows the inbox as Focused and All; newsletters and automated mails remain outside Focused, and notifications arrive only for Focused mails. Who can do this: Any user signed in to the app (write permission in the mailbox for the sender rule). The distinction and rules on the web are the same; a rule you set in one applies in the other.

## Focused and All

There are two options in the inbox header. **Focused** shows emails from people and important work emails; the app opens with this option selected 1. **All** shows all emails, including newsletters, campaigns and automated notifications 2. The number next to Focused is the number of unread emails.

Your Focused or All preference is stored on this phone; when you reopen the app, it starts with the same view. When searching and using the content type filter, no distinction is applied; all emails are searched.

## Adding a sender to Focused or removing it

You can set a rule so that a sender's emails always appear in Focused or never appear in Focused.

- Open one of the sender's emails.

- On the reading screen, tap the **⋯** button; **More options** opens 1.

- Tap **Always show in Focused** 2 or **Don't show in Focused** 3.

- 1Other options

- 2Show in Focused

- 3Don't show in Focused

The rule is company-wide: emails from the same sender land in the same place in everyone's inbox. You must have write permission on that mailbox to create a rule. If the sender already has a rule, **Remove sender rule** also appears in the menu; the menu shows only the options that make sense at that moment.

**Note** Phone notifications only arrive for emails that land in Focused. Emails outside Focused, such as newsletters, automated notifications and invoices, do not generate notifications; to avoid missing notifications from an important sender, mark them with **Always show in Focused**.

**Tip** The separation and rules on the web are the same; a rule you set in one applies in the other. For the web explanation [Focused inbox](/en/smartmail/belgeler/kullanici/odakli-gelen-kutusu) look at its page.
