# Signing in to the app for the first time

You sign in to the SmartMail mobile app with the company code, username and password you use across all Smart products. Sign-in takes place on the DBLinx secure sign-in screen.

## How do I sign in to the app for the first time?

You sign in to the SmartMail mobile app with the company code, username and password you use across all Smart products. Who can do this: Anyone who is a SmartMail user in their company. Your inbox opens. Sign-in takes place on the DBLinx secure sign-in screen. If the company code, username or password is incorrect, an error appears at the top of the form and it does not say which one is incorrect.

## Steps

Open the app. The sign-in screen appears automatically; **New account** is shown at the bottom 4.

Enter your company code in the **Company code** field 1. If you do not know the code, ask your administrator.

Fill in the **Username** and **Password** fields 2. Your password is the same across all Smart products.

When security verification is complete, tap the **Open SmartMail** button 3.

**Result** Your inbox opens. The app may ask for notification permission; if you allow it, new emails arrive as notifications on your phone.

**Note** If the company code, username or password is incorrect, an error appears at the top of the form and does not say which one is wrong. Check all three together.
