# Adding an attachment to the email

You attach a file or photo from your phone to the email.

## How do I add an attachment to an email?

You attach a file or photo from your phone to the email. Who can do this: A user with write permission on the mailbox. There is a limit on single file and total attachment size. On the compose screen, tap Add file or Image. Select the file or image. To remove an attachment, tap the cross next to it.

## Steps

On the compose screen, tap **Add file** 1 or **Image** 2.

Select the file or image. While uploading, **Uploading attachment…** is shown; when done, the attachment is listed below the area.

To remove an attachment, tap the cross next to it.

## If you forgot the attachment

If you mention an attachment in the email but have not added one, when you go to preview you are asked **You may have forgotten to add an attachment** 3. Choose **Go back** to add the attachment, or **Continue** to proceed without it.

**Note** There is a limit for a single file and the total attachment size. If exceeded, the warning **Attachment could not be added** appears along with the file name.
