When SmartMail is under short maintenance, a strip appears at the top of the app. Your session does not end and existing data is not deleted.

## What is the maintenance work banner?

When SmartMail is under short maintenance, a strip appears at the top of the app. Who can do this: Any user signed in to the app. The app polls the server once a minute; when maintenance ends, the strip disappears by itself. Your session does not end and existing data is not deleted.

## What you see

At the top of the screen, a **Maintenance** banner and the maintenance description appear 1. Below the description, it says **The app will continue automatically when maintenance ends.**

Meanwhile, lists and open emails stay in place; they just cannot be refreshed.

**Result** The application checks the server once a minute; when maintenance ends, the bar disappears automatically. You do not need to do anything.
