# Signing in to the phone with a QR code

The user moves their active session on the web dashboard to the SmartMail mobile app with a QR code: **QR sign-in** in the **My account** menu shows a code, and when the phone scans it, the user signs in to the same account without entering a password.

## How do you sign in to the phone with a QR code?

The user transfers their open session in the web dashboard to the SmartMail mobile app using a QR code: Sign in with QR in the My Account menu shows a code; when the phone scans this code, it signs in with the same account without entering a password. Who can do this: every user. Your phone signs in with this account; your session in the web dashboard remains open.

## Steps

In the web dashboard, click your name in the top right and select **Sign in with QR** 4. A QR code appears on the screen.

Open the SmartMail mobile app on your phone and scan the code on the screen using the sign in with QR option.

When you see "Connected" in the window, click **Close**.

**Result** Your phone signs in with this account; your session in the web dashboard remains open.
