# Asking AI questions about an email

In the **Chat** tab of the side panel, the user asks questions about the open email. The AI reads the correspondence, attachments if needed and past correspondence with the same organization; below the answer it lists which sources it used. Only information in mailboxes you can access is used; if you ask about an address of a colleague you cannot access, the correspondence with them in your own mailboxes is shown, and dates are given in Turkey time.

## How do you ask AI a question about an email?

The user asks a question about the open email in the Chat tab in the side panel. Who can do this: a user with AI chat permission on the mailbox. The chat is stored linked to this email; when you reopen the email, previous questions and answers appear. The AI reads the correspondence, and if necessary the attachments and past correspondence with the same organization; below the answer it states which sources it looked at.

## Steps

Open the email and click the **Chat** tab on the far right.

Enter your question in the field below 2, for example "What are they asking for?", and click **Ask** 3.

In the **Sources reviewed** line below the reply, see which information the AI read 1: conversation history, attachment list, read attachment or history with the organization, and so on.

**Result** The chat is stored linked to this mail; when you reopen the mail, previous questions and answers appear. To delete the chat, click **Clear chat** and confirm.

**Tip**Each question uses up AI allowance. Evaluate the answer together with its sources; for important decisions, check the source.
