# Signing in to SmartMail

The user signs in to SmartMail with a DBLinx account: the password is requested in one place, on the DBLinx sign-in screen, and the user then returns to the SmartMail dashboard. With the same session, you can move to other DBLinx products without entering your password again.

## How do you sign in to SmartMail?

The user signs in to SmartMail with a DBLinx account: the password is requested in one place, on the DBLinx sign-in screen, and the user then returns to the SmartMail dashboard. Who can do this: any user to whom a mailbox has been assigned. The dashboard shows the mailboxes assigned to you. With the same session, you can move to other DBLinx products without entering your password again.

## Steps

Open your organization's SmartMail address in the browser. Your administrator or the invitation email from DBLinx tells you the address.

On the DBLinx login screen that opens, enter your username and password.

Once login is complete, the SmartMail dashboard opens automatically.

**Result** The dashboard shows the mailboxes assigned to you. If you also use other DBLinx products, you can switch to them with the product buttons in the top bar without signing in again.

**Multiple devices**You can stay signed in on multiple computers, phones and tabs at the same time with the same account; signing in on one device does not sign you out of another. The session stays open in this browser: opening a new tab, clicking a notification or closing and reopening the browser does not ask for the password again. The session closes only with **Sign out** or after 10 days of no use. When you sign out, all SmartMail tabs in this browser also close; sign out when you finish on a shared computer.

**Attention**If your administrator has given you a temporary password, you are asked to set your own password on first login. If it says "Login could not be completed", click **Try again** after a few seconds.
