## Searching with operators

The following operators can also be entered in the search box along with free text; more than one can be used at the same time and all are applied together (with "AND" logic). The **?** button next to the search box always shows this list.

from:acme — emails where the sender name or address contains it.

to:accounting — emails where the recipient address contains it.

subject:quote — searches only in the subject line.

attachment:yes — only emails with attachments; attachment:no for those without.

before:2026-01-01 — emails sent before the specified date.

after:2026-01-01 — emails sent after (and including) the specified date.

**Tip**A value consisting of more than one word is enclosed in quotes: from:"example company". If the operator is not recognized or the value is empty, that part is searched as normal free text.
