# Upgrade to a higher plan

On DBLinx, a plan moves up a tier as the organization grows. The move can be made mid-period; the value of your unused time is deducted from the new plan's price, and your data, users and permissions all stay as they are.

- The organization's tenant administrators.

## How do I move up to a higher plan?

On DBLinx, a plan moves up a tier as the organization grows. Who can do this: the organization's tenant administrators. Once payment is confirmed, the new tier's quotas apply to the products instantly. The move can be made mid-period; the value of your unused time is deducted from the new plan's price, and your data, users and permissions all stay as they are. This is noted on the screen too; the difference is not refunded.

## Steps

- From the left menu, **Purchases**from the left menu.

- On the product card, **"Plans available to you"** list, choose the higher tier. Lower tiers are shown as **"Not selectable"** .

- 2Lower tier not selectable

- 2Chooses the higher tier

- In the payment summary, check that your unused-time credit was deducted and check the **"Total payable incl. VAT"** amount.

- Check the contract confirmation box and click **"Proceed to payment"**click it.

**Result** Once payment is confirmed, the new tier's quotas apply to the products instantly.

**The credit looks higher than the price of the new plan.** This is noted on the screen too; the difference is not refunded.

**How is the credit calculated?** Your remaining paid time counts, including periods you renewed in a row before they expired. Time our team gifted or extended manually doesn't count toward the credit. The credit never exceeds what you paid for that period; if your old plan was custom-made for you or is no longer sold, the credit is calculated from the amount you paid.

**I paid to renew the same product after opening the upgrade order.** Since your expiry date changed, the credit on that order is no longer valid and the upgrade doesn't apply automatically. Our team will either refund your payment or create a new order with the current credit.

**I need something beyond the catalog.** Open a support ticket; a custom plan for your organization will be worked out together.
