# Use a coupon code

DBLinx coupon codes are applied in the Purchases section of the organization dashboard for a renewal, upgrade or new product order. A coupon can define a percentage discount or a free product; the discount appears as a separate line in the payment summary.

## How do I use a coupon code?

DBLinx coupon codes are applied in the Purchases section of the organization dashboard for a renewal, upgrade or new product order. Who can do this: an administrator who can log into the organization dashboard. The coupon discount appears on the payment page in the "Coupon discount" line. A coupon can define a percentage discount or a free product; the discount appears as a separate line in the payment summary.

## Steps

- Log in to your organization dashboard at app.dblinx.net and open **Purchases**from the left menu.

- Select the plan you want to buy.

- **"Coupon code"** Enter your code into the field and press **"Apply"**.

- 3Enter the coupon code

- 3Applies the coupon

- Check that the coupon was accepted and the amount due was updated; press **"remove"**to remove it.

**Result** The coupon discount appears on the payment page in the **"Coupon discount"** row. If the coupon covers the full amount, no payment is requested; **"Complete order"** and the order is completed directly.

**I get a "Coupon expired" or "already used" warning.** Every coupon has a validity period, and the same organization can use a coupon only once. Contact us for a valid code.

**Can a coupon be applied together with unused-time credit?** Yes. On the payment page, **"Unused-time credit"** and **"Coupon discount"** is shown on a separate line. A free-product coupon cannot be used while your current plan still has unused paid time.

**Can a renewal discount be applied together with a coupon?** No, a coupon and a renewal campaign cannot be combined. When you enter a coupon, the campaign discount is dropped, and the payment summary states which discount was not applied. If the campaign is more advantageous, **"You will pay less if you remove the coupon."** warning appears; you can remove the coupon and continue with the campaign.

**The free-product coupon does not work in the cart.** A free-product coupon is valid only when the plan it was defined for is purchased on its own. Buy the other products in a separate order.

## Coupon on the Buy page

If you are a new customer, use the coupon [Buy](https://app.dblinx.net/satin-al) at the last step on the page (**Confirmation and payment**) **Coupon** enter it in the field and **Apply**' by clicking it; the discount appears in the summary right away. Only percentage-discount coupons work on the site.

- “This coupon can be used from your organization panel.” — The coupon was created specifically for you; use it once your account is set up, in the Purchases screen of the organization panel.

- “This coupon is assigned to another customer.” — The code was issued to a different organization; it does not belong to you.
